You think movie theaters all look the same in every city? I’m sure the big chain theaters have already taken over in Vienna, too.

But there are still small historic movie theaters in Vienna where you can enjoy not only a good film but also the atmosphere of the theater itself. Numerous screenings in English are also offered.

As an example, we would like to mention the Admiral Kino on Burggasse, which, having been built around 1912, stands as a venerable monument to Vienna’s cinema world. Of course, the Gartenbaukino on the Ring, built in 1960, is also worth mentioning, as it allows you to enjoy film premieres on a sensational big screen amidst the original decor.
