In alten Dokumenten fällt auf, dass der Straßenname früher ein anderer war.
Die damalige „Schlesingerstraße“ wurde 1944, also zu Zeiten des zweiten Weltkriegs in „An der Hölle“ umbenannt. Meine Großeltern erzählten mir, dass der auf das Judentum (Schlesien) deutende Name dem damaligen Führer Adolf Hitler wohl nicht mehr gepasst habe. Wie es zu dem neuen Namen kam, ist allen ein Rätsel. Wer googelt liest, es könnte auf eine Höhle hindeuten, wobei sich hier keiner an eine Höhle erinnern kann.
Auch wenn diese Herkunft des Namens wohl eher düster wirkt, freut es uns, dass unsere Gäste sich den Namen so gut merken, klingt er doch ziemlich teuflisch. Aber keine Angst bei uns werden Sie es himmlisch finden, da bin ich mir sicher.“Alexandra Kasper
