We process personal data, which are collected when visiting our website, in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations. 1. Data collection and processing for access from the Internet
When you visit our website, our web servers temporarily store every access in a log file. The following data is recorded and saved:
- IP address and host name of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the retrieved data
- Transferred amount of data
- Message if the retrieval was successful
- Detection data of the browser and operating system used
- Website from which access is made
The processing of this data is for the purpose of enabling the use of the website (connection establishment), the system security, the technical administration of the network infrastructure and to optimize the Internet site. The IP address will only be evaluated in case of attacks on the network infrastructure of the Kasper guesthouse.
In addition to the above cases, personal data will not be processed unless you expressly consent to further processing.
2. Room reservations
If we need to collect personal information from you to provide you with a particular service, we kindly ask you to provide us with the information you require. E.g. If you wish to make a reservation in our guesthouse, we ask you for various information to process your reservation request: your name and surname, your address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. We will use your e-mail address to you to send a confirmation and we will use your other information if necessary, to contact you regarding the execution of the reservation or to make your visit to us optimal and according to your wishes.
If you reserve your room online via our booking system, your data will be encrypted with SSL and transferred to us or our reservation partner and thus protected from access by third parties.
After your stay, we will store your personal information, including the details of your stay, your room type and your type of accommodation to make your next stay in our guesthouse as comfortable as possible. Your data will be used internally to better anticipate the wishes of our guests.
Due we work with a self-check-in-system, you agree that your name will be shown on an information-screen in the reception-area of our hotel, when you book a room. This information is needed to make sure, every guest has the chance to check in any time and gets all the information needed to get the right room.
3. Secure transmission and storage of information
The information you provide to us will be kept confidential and subject to our security procedures and policies for the protection and use of confidential information. When we ask for your credit card details, they will be sent over a Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) connection if you use an SSL-enabled browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. We also use the SSL procedure for all other pages on our homepage. This ensures that your information is transmitted encrypted over the Internet. This secure transfer mode is activated before such information is transferred from your computer or web-enabled device. You can recognize the safe mode by the fact that the lock or key symbol is displayed as closed on the right or left of the screen. Also, when accessing a secure server, the beginning of the URL changes from http to https.
After transferring the information to the Kasper guesthouse, they are stored on a secure server that prevents unauthorized access from outside by firewalls. By providing your personal information, you consent to the transmission, processing, use and storage of your personal information outside the European Economic Area (EEA) in accordance with this declaration.
The provider expressly points out that all data transmission on the Internet may in principle have security gaps and can’t be completely protected against access by third parties.
4. Use and disclosure of personal data
Any use of your personal data takes place only for the stated purposes and to the extent necessary to achieve these purposes. A passing on to third does not take place. Personal data transfers to government agencies and agencies will only be within the bounds of mandatory national law or where disclosure is required in law or law enforcement in the event of attacks on our network infrastructure. We have concluded a corresponding contract data processing contract with the provider.
The data processing takes place on the basis of the legal regulations of the § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as the art 6 Abs 1 a) (consent) and / or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO. The user data is kept for a period of 26 months.
8. Social Plugins
On our web pages we do not use direct social plugins, for example those of the social networks of the American companies Facebook or Google+. We only use the logos, e.g. from Facebook, and have linked these to our official Facebook profile.
If you open a page of our website in your web browser and you click on one of the linked logos, your web browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective provider in the respective country.
By clicking on the linked logo, the provider will at least receive the information that you have visited a specific page of our website, as well as other information that your web browser or your device may reveal.
