Vienna – The world metropolis

The capital of Austria is characterized primarily by history and tradition. If one goes to "Sisi's footsteps" through the city you will discover numerous buildings and monuments of the former Danube monarchy. The former power of the gigantic empire is felt when visiting the Habsburg city.

With 400 km ², Vienna it is the smallest state (part) of Austria, but with over 1.6 million inhabitants, the most populous city in the country. Vienna is divided into 23 districts, which, starting from 1st district, the Inner City (also called “center”) arranged in a circle around it. We recommend to use the numbers of the community districts and not be guided by their names, as do also the "real" Viennese.
